Equifax Credit Report Fields
- SAFESCAN
SAFESCAN is an optional fraud system. It will provide the state of residence and year of issuance for the social security number.
- Personal Information
Customer information is displayed at the top of the report. Date the Equifax file was created (FAD), and date of last activity on file are displayed. To help you verify consumer identification the following information is provided if available:
- Consumer's name, plus any known aliases.
- Date of birth.
- Social Security number.
- Current and previous addresses and the dates they were reported to the bureau
- SSN Information
This segment gives the Social Security number, date of birth if available and verification according to Equifax rules. It will also provide state of issuance and deceased information if applicable.
- Employment
This section provides you with the name of the consumers employer and or occupation, date employed, location of employer and date left. It also provides up to two previous employers.
- BEACON
BEACON scoring system is a proven solution for identifying new creditworthy customers and predicting serious consumer credit risks. BEACON returns up to four reason statements that explain the most significant elements of an individual's score. This is an optional product. Please contact your Equifax representative for more information.
- Summary
Provides a "snapshot" of all activity on the consumer's credit report such as:
- Public Records/Other Income
- Collection Accounts
- Number of Accounts
- Number of Inquires
- Low and High High Credit Ranges
- Current Payment History (number of accounts 30, 60 or 90 days late).
- Historical Payment History (number of accounts 30, 60 or 90 days late).
- Public Records
This segment provides you with detailed information on any Public Records or Collection Accounts reported. It includes:
- Filed/Reported date
- Verified/Checked date
- Status/Released date
- Customers Subscriber Number
- Case Number
- Type of Case
- Assets or Exempt Amounts
- Defendant and Plaintiff
- Narrative
- Trades: Revolving, Installment, Open:
Provides an on-going historical and current record ot the consumer's buying and payment activities.
- Trades are available sorted by most derogatory followed by date verified or vice-versa.
- Trades may be sorted by descending balance as well. (Contact us to activate this opton).
Trade information includes the following
- Abbreviated name of credit grantor with whom consumer has an account.
- Consumer's account number with the credit grantor.
- Grantor's Customer code/Subscriber code.
- Date Reported.
- Date account was opened.
- Date of last activity.
- High Credit (on "R" (Revolving) Accounts, may indicate Credit Limit).
- ECOA indicates responsibility for paying the account.

I=Individual
A=Authorzed User
J=Joint
C=Co-Maker
B=On Behalf Of
M=Maker
T=Association With Account Terminated
S=Shared
- Terms - monthly payment amount or number of months or years.
- Balance owed as of reporting date.
- Past due amount as of reporting date.
- History Status.
4-column display; describing payment history.
Mths=Months of history on the account.
30=Number of times over 30 days late.
60=Number of times over 60 days late.
90=Number of times over 90 days late.
- Rating
R=Revolving Account
O=Open Account (30, 60, or 90 days)
I=Installment Account
0=Too new to rate, approved but not used.
1=Paid as agreed; satisfactory; current.
2=Pays 31-60 days; not more than 2 payments past due.
3=Pays 61-90 days; not more than 3 payments past due.
4=Pays 91-120 days; not more than 4 payments past due.
5=Pays over 120 days; not more than 5 payments past due.
7=Making regular payment or paid under wage earner plan or similar arrangements
9=Charged off to bad debt.
Note: Fields with dollar amounts will display K=Thousands, M=Millions
- Date
This reflects the date that the Rating was reported. If the date field is blank then it is the most current Rating available.
- Inquires
Displays which companies have viewed the consumer's credit file over the last 2 years. Includes date the inquiry occured, name of the company doing the inquiry and the Equifax customer number for that company.
- "Consumer Referral Location"
Identifies the Equifax bureau owning or servicing the credit report. This information directs consumers to the appropriate location.
